 BOLOGNA
Bologna, is a gem of a city that embraces both medieval and contemporary
buildings. It is most famous as the home of Europe's first University
and today, its ancient dusky red and orange buildings continue to hum
with student life. The Piazza Maggiore takes centre stage as favoured
meeting place and the venue for events, demonstrations and concerts. A
few steps from it are fresh food markets, outdoor bars and restaurants
and glitzy glass fronted top designer shops. An ideal city to wander in,
and one that boasts some of the best food in the country.
Current Workshop Venue
The Castle of Galeazza, some 30 kilometres from Bologna, is the current
workshop venue and has proved to be excellent. A relaxed atmosphere combined
with the castle's features: a library crammed with books, frescoed ceilings,
cultivated garden and orchard really contribute to inspiration .
Dates of Workshops
Workshops continue throughout the year, usually once or twice a month.
depending on venue availability. The next workshop will be in spring 2009. Dates to be confirmed. For further information
