Bologna
Bologna is simply a well kept
secret of a city with a
reputation for fine food, wine and intellect - it has
the oldest university in Europe and a superb Opera
House. Terracotta buildings and porticoes dominate and the surrounding
countryside produces the best of vegetables, fruits and meat. Because
of Bologna's
strategic position it is easy to reach from other
routings, i.e.Venice, Florence, Milan. All are within
a two hour train ride.

the centre of Bologna. It is the
seat of Reading Retreats in Rural Italy and is the Bologna site for residential
